Singer/Songwriter Ed Sheeran: I wrote songs about shitting myself

Ed Sheeran admits that he too has faced the cruel consequences of trusting farts

British singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran has stated that he ‘trusted one too many farts’ and that he shit himself onstage. The incident sparked his interest in writing the songs I’m a mess, Even my dad does sometimes and, Don’t; All of which are about shit farting or sharting as its known.

In an interview with Nova’s Smallzy’s Surgery when he was asked if he’d ever “farted” on stage — to which he replied, “All the time”. He said, “I actually once misjudged a fart on stage, which ended up being a shart,” he continued.

“It was, like, midway through a performance and I was really lively, and then halfway through I was like, ‘Alright I’m just going to stand for the rest of the performance, and hope it’s over soon and then go home and throw these trousers out!’”

The adult diaper company Depends said through a company representative that they are seeking to sponsor his upcoming “Skid Marks” tour saying, “it would be a great partnership that would benefit both parties as our company would introduce an older audience for the singer while the Ed would bring in the much coveted and hard to land, under 70 but over 6, that shit themselves crowd,” adding “we are really close to landing Ben Bishop from the Tampa Bay lightning after his on ice pants shitting incident.”
